( OLEUM THYMI )

Thyme oil is obtained from fresh or dried epigeous parts of the common thyme ( Thymus serpyllum L. ) through steam distillation.

Appearance: Free-flowing liquid
Color: Pale yellow, to reddish brown
Aroma: Specific thyme aroma with a slight lemon tinge

Density at 20°C: 0,8200 – 0,9610
Refraction number at 20°C: 1.4720 – 1. 5110
Polarization in 100 mm tube: –21° to +15°    
Acid number: max. 10.3
Phenols, %: 10.0 – 74.0
Composition: Linalool. thymol, carvacrol, linalylacetate, p-cymol, etc.

Packing:
15 liter aluminum cans, 100 liter sealed drums, 200 1iter zinc-coated barrels; customized packing units are negotiable.
Storage: In dark and cool premises. The oil should not be stored for a long time in steel and zinc-coated barrels as it changes its color and deposits phenolates as a result of chemical reactions.
Application: perfumery, medicine, food. wine and tobacco industries.
